Pinya Glass Cozy - free crochet pattern

I saw a set of glass cozies with a pineapple design, for sale at the department store. It was quite expensive so I thought of making it myself ;)
This is a useful and lovely item, which I think will be well appreciated as a gift especially for homemakers :)
